Our packaging created for Stühmer won a WorldStar Packaging Award.

Organised by the World Packaging Organisation, the WorldStar Packaging Awards is one of the packaging industry’s most prestigious international competitions. This achievement is particularly significant for Sz. Variáns, as 2026 marks the second time our work has received a WorldStar award.

Award-winning packaging for Stühmer

At the WorldStar 2026 competition, the packaging created for the Stühmer Pillanat Christmas Collection received an award in the Food category.

During the design process, an important consideration was to create packaging that reflects both the distinctive character of the Stühmer brand and the premium appearance of the Christmas collection.

The final design combines textured, tactile paper, shimmering surfaces and various finishing techniques, creating a distinctive and sophisticated appearance for the product.

Hungarian packaging recognised internationally

The WorldStar Packaging Awards is open to packaging solutions that have previously received recognition in a national or regional packaging competition.

At the 2026 competition, nine Hungarian entries received WorldStar awards, including the Stühmer packaging manufactured by Sz. Variáns.

We are proud that our design and manufacturing expertise in Debrecen has once again received international professional recognition. Through this packaging, created in collaboration with a Hungarian brand, we are proud to represent Hungary at one of the world’s most significant international packaging competitions.
