Lapidaris stone

Developed in Hungary and using social media channels, the so-called Lapidaris stone is a memorial service that is unmatched all over the work. This finely crafted porcelain plaquette contains an information carrier (chip) that instantly opens an Internet-based memorial site with information, photos, videos of the deceased when the plaquette is approached by a smartphone or tablet that is capable of using the so-called NFC data transfer technology.

The gift box for the plaquette has been created with the goal to have the plaquette emerge together with its base when the box is opened. The necessary mechanical solution is a fully unique design. The gift box earned the Hungaropack Prize of 2018.
